Do you need a Map of Cyprus?

The answer is yes! There is so much to see on our beautiful island and without a good map of Cyprus you could end up missing out on so many little gems! If you are staying in a hotel, Cyprus maps will be easy to find at the reception and most will be very detailed.

If not, visit the Cyprus Tourism Office (CTO) who provide excellent maps and this is probably the best place to buy them. If you buy maps from a bookstore in Cyprus, be sure to check the publishing date, as some may be out of date and poor quality. Of course, if you want to collect those types of maps as a souvenir then go ahead!

Also be aware that mountain hiking route maps may not be that easy to follow as some roads are basically dirt tracks and can be unwalkable at certain times of the year such as winter. You may also wish to check Google Earth, as it offers a very good quality image of Cyprus.

I have created this Cyprus map below for you as a basic guide to some of the key locations detailed on this website:

The main roads in Cyprus are very easy to follow as most are signposted in English. Just remember that in the south places are often referred to by their Greek names. For instance Limassol will be written as Lemesos and Larnaca will be written as Larnaka. In the north, the names on street signs will be written in Turkish. So for example, to get to Kyrenia follow signs to Girne and to get to Famagusta follow signs to Magusa.

Have fun exploring Cyprus!
