Best Cyprus Mexican Restaurants
There are quite a few Cyprus Mexican restaurants dotted around the island. They vary in food quality, but all of them tend to be a lot of fun. Mexican restaurants in Cyprus have a great atmosphere, they play traditional music, and the waiters love to get you into the spirit of all things Mexican. For example, waiters will have no qualms about sticking you in a sombrero for photos! We love Mexican food and you can find all the usual Mexican dishes that you would expect, such as fajitas, burritos, nachos, tacos and enchiladas in Cyprus. The Mexican desserts on offer aren’t really Mexican, but often a range of international desserts. Remember Mexican food is often more filling than it looks so go easy when you order to start of with! These are our favourite Mexican restaurants in Cyprus: ChiChi’s (Protaras): This is a lovely, friendly restaurant with a nice ambience that serves both Mexican dishes and local and international cuisine. It also offers meze at a very reasonable price. We would recommend the nachos here. Los Bandidos (Ayia Napa): This is has a reputation for being the best Mexican restaurant on the island and it is easy to understand why. The food may not be Michelin star, but you get a good, filling meal, and fun entertainment. I loved the guacamole dip, and the other half tried the shark steak and said it was very nice. The portions of everything are huge, and the whole atmosphere and decor are very enjoyable. Wash it all down with a jug of their strawberry margarita. In peak summer months you should book in advance or there will be a long wait for a table.
