Best Cyprus Chinese Restaurants

chinese-menu

We love Chinese food, but it takes a bit of effort to find really great Cyprus Chinese restaurants. It’s not that there is anything really wrong with them, many are decent enough, it’s just that they often lack authentic dishes and ingredients.

A good Chinese menu in Cyprus will usually offer nice dim sum such as dumplings, so this should help you decide whether to eat at a Chinese restaurant in Cyprus or not. You can find the all most popular meals in Cyprus that you would choose at home, from sweet and sour dishes to a wide range of noodle dishes.

Many Chinese desserts that you find on menus are western-style dishes rather than authentic ones, because as you probably know, the Chinese mainly eat fruit for dessert. Banana fritters are quite popular in Chinese restaurants on the island, and they are usually very good.

Our two favourite Chinese restaurants in Cyprus are:

Jade Garden (Paralimni): I really liked this restaurant; my only issue was that there was no vegetarian soup option. I very occasionally have seafood so I had the crab meat soup which was delicious. Other than that a great restaurant with very tasty food.

Chloe’s Chinese Restaurant (Paphos): There are actually two of these in Paphos – one by the harbour with sea views, and a newer one opposite Tombs of the Kings. We liked both, and although the prices aren’t as cheap as some Chinese restaurants in Cyprus, we enjoyed eating at Chloe’s. Not everything on the menu is authentic, but it is all very tasty and this is definitely one of the best Paphos restaurants.
