Of the many reasons that people visit the island, the gorgeous Cyprus beaches are number one! Big, small, lively, secluded - the beaches are almost as diverse as the country itself! So whatever your taste or mood, you will find ones here to suit you! No matter where I travel in the world, I always miss the golden sand and the warm, clear waters of Cyprus. There is just something special about it! I love the beaches where i can walk out miles from the shore and the water still only reaches my elbows! There are those that relax me, and those that exhilarate me. The beauty of beaches in Cyprus is well documented by travel writers. When you are choosing which part of the island to stay in, it's worth bearing in mind that the character of a beach is usually similar to that of its area. For example, Nissi Beach in the lively town of Ayia Napa tends to attract a younger party crowd and young families. And just like the rest of Ayia Napa it can get extremely crowded at peak times!
